Review: Delray Beach, A Beach with an Older Feel

One of several entryways to the beach.
A little further south of Boynton Beach is Delray Beach. Off Atlantic Avenue, this location has a mixture of residential areas, hotels, shops, and restaurants.
This beach has an older feel, which calls for its current renovations taking place to its decks and seating areas. The showers are old wooden posts and there are scenic entryways surrounded by shrubberies and trees that lead you to the beach.
There are wooden lounge chairs and lifeguard stands upon this large stretch of sand with plenty of volleyball courts as well. Restrooms are a walking distance away.
As for parking, there are different areas to park in that offer either parallel coin meter parking or lot parking.
Three popular restaurants and bars -- Sandbar, Boston’s, and 50 Ocean -- are located next door to each other. Their information and menu came be viewed on all one website.
Luna Rosa is another restaurant along the road that serves breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. And right on the corner is the popular burger chain Burgerfi.
The large beach lets visitors have quiet and secluded alone time while the volleyball courts offer a group to enjoy some fun in the sun. And then there are the bars across the street that attract partygoers. So overall, this is a great location for all ages and a diverse crowd.
Visit Delray Beach’s website for more information on beach and park locations.
