Review: Dania Beach, Clean Spot for Everyone

If you like a mix of everything with your beach experience, Dania Beach is a location you should check out.
To point out what makes this beach different from others along the coast is that it has a fishing pier that looks clean and new with an attached Quarterdeck restaurant to it. On the north side of the pier, there is the Ocean Park that has a beach volleyball court and picnic tables. Surfing is allowed but there are no lifeguards on this side. On the south side of the pier, there are lifeguards.
Picture I took off of the Dania Beach Pier
This day the water was clear and at the perfect temperature. There were sand bars and decent size waves. You can see a few fish here and there mainly due to the fact there is a fishing pier. You can scout some shells at this location too. However there were no reefs.
One thing I noticed is that Dania beach and Hollywood beach has a grayish hue to its sand color compared to the brown sand located at Fort Lauderdale beach. But they both felt the same.
Below is a little summary of the basics at this beach:

Summary:
-Fishing Pier: $3 for fishing, $2 for spectators. Hours: 6am-midnight
-Parking: Cash/Credit Card Meter parking lot ($1.50/hour)
-Restaurants: Quarterdeck on pier & Dania Beach Grill nearby
-Things to do: Surf, play volleyball, fish, swim.
-Lifeguards: Yes on south side of fishing pier only
-Showers/Restrooms?: Yes
