Fall Skies in South Florida

Just a little something I captured on my way home one day.
Fall season is among us. My manager said the other day “I feel the fall breeze already.” We both know this because we work on Fort Lauderdale Beach.
The breeze feels a little stronger and the air a little cooler. There is less gasping for what was only hot, dry air. You can still catch a tan without drenching in sweat now.
And along with this, is the sun setting earlier and earlier as the weeks go by. This is what autumn is like in South Florida.
The Florida skies are currently the epitome of hashtag “skyporn.”  The colors of pinks and purples are definitely a sight to see if you’re stuck in traffic on your way home on I-95. On the east side there is a blue, cool tone to the view while on the west side it is more of a warm, orange view.
And the sunrise is just as gorgeous. I’m not a morning person and I was able to watch the sunrise on the beach last week and I do not regret it.
I’m not saying we are getting into sweater weather or anything but I am welcoming the month of October. We might not have leaves changing colors but the sky definitely makes up for the color changes.
You can check out what I’m talking about by viewing the hashtag “sunsetsessions_sfla” on Instagram. There are also sunset viewing meet ups at Everglades Holiday Park this month.
Just look up.
