Most of the hotels chains along Fort
Lauderdale Beach are busy this weekend to accommodate the thousands of guests
who will be attending the 54th Fort Lauderdale International Boat
Show.
I’m out of town so I’m sad that I
will be missing it. The event runs from Oct. 31 to Nov. 4 and covers six
locations along the Fort Lauderdale Intracoastal Waterway.
The show exhibits a wide variety of
boats including super yachts, speed boats, fishing boats, sailing yachts,
inflatables, and more. Also a big attraction is the display of exotic cars.
Food and company tents are set up
throughout the event, both inside and outside. Company vendors include yachting,
boat loans, equipment, and marina companies from all over the world.
There are fishing and diving
seminars, special events for kids, and live music. Prime time tickets, two-day passes, and one-day
ticket sales are available. Prices start at $20.
The event’s website has more
information on the boats and companies on display, ticket prices, parking and
more.
Enjoy without me!
