Review: Deerfield Beach, Activities for Everyone, Day or Night

Deerfield Beach off of Hillsboro Boulevard has undergone renovations that make it one of the cleaner, more modern beaches with a pier in South Florida. With volleyball courts, fishing, restaurants, and surfing, there is something for anyone of any age to do.
Large pile of rocks on shore gives a scenic appearance with lifeguard stands spotted along the beach. If you don’t want to get sandy, there is a large sidewalk where pedestrians can exercise or sit and relax at the picnic tables that have tiki coverings.
Two-person wooden lounge chairs are posted on the beach day and night. This amenity is especially convenient for those who come to this beach and forget to bring a towel.
On clear nights, this location is very popular to visitors who want to see hundreds of stars. From my own experience, I have walked south along the beach behind some residential buildings where the pile of rocks get larger and larger and allow more privacy. Here it is very dark and one of the best places to star gaze. Although you are technically “trespassing,” the view is worth it.
There are restaurants on the beach and along the strip of Hillsboro Blvd. Patio Bar & Grill and the Deerfield Beach Café are two closest to the beach. Deerfield Beach Café is open 24 hours, convenient for fishermen fishing into the wee hours of the morning. Surfing is allowed on the north side of the fishing pier only.
